Something About the Blog

Every morning I stand in front of my closet and get tangled up for quite some time: what should I wear?! I am not living under the spotlights, I am not in the fashion business, but I feel obligated to dress in style while not repeating myself, and still feel comfy and warm enough.

If it agrees with what you feel, this blog is your secret weapon to wing it!

Fashion magazines and Fashion bloggers like Chiara Ferragni, Aimee Song, Pernille Teisbaek, Nika Huk have the magic power to get us buy the trending items. Pretty dresses, luxury bags, quality shoes, the artistic elements, the color, the cut, the texture, the design, the mix, they are irresistible to girls. Playing with the descriptive words, the “effortless” poses, and topping with the-everybody-wants lifestyle, the fashion influencers make us buy more rather than dress better. We picturing how nice it would look on us, or secretly hope it’s going impress other girls on social media. BUT…this reality is, every morning when we facing in front of the closets and going through our one by one, “this would be too tight if I am going to eat a lots, this would be too revealing for work/school, this would be too formal, this would be too dramatic, this would be too expensive for daily dress and I can’t afford to accidently spill my coffee on it, this would look like any other girls …”

A blue sweater is not just a blue sweater. Whether or not we want to admit it, the dress code is everywhere and you make impression on other by how you dress. YOUR STYLE SAYS A LOT ABOUT YOU. We can’t simply run away from fashion. From head to toe, what we wear and how we wear is sophisticatedly planned by the fashion industry. That’s why we need to learn how the fashion industry works.

The initiative of building this blog is to share observations of the fashion industry as an outsider and to provide inspirations that help our own style grows organically.
